FAQ

Is a payslip legally required?

Establishments covered by shops & establishments acts and the Payment of Wages Act must give wage slips. Beyond compliance, employees need payslips for loans, credit cards, visas and rentals — a clean format saves everyone time.

How much PF should I deduct?

Standard employee EPF contribution is 12% of basic + DA. Many employers cap the contribution at 12% of ₹15,000 (₹1,800/month). Your employer contribution is separate and doesn't appear in the employee's deductions.

What is professional tax?

A state-level tax on employment, deducted monthly and capped at ₹2,500/year. Most states charge around ₹200/month above a salary threshold; a few states don't levy it at all.

Is my team's data uploaded anywhere?

No. The payslip is generated entirely in your browser and saved only on your device. We never see salaries or names.
